Business Skills for South Africa

ACWA Power in Groblershoop

In 2015, BSSA was contracted by ACWA Power to offer a four-day business skills training programme to a group of business owners from villages surrounding the ACWA Power plant in Groblershoop.

Learners were trained in aspects of customer care, practical pricing and costing, tendering, project management and basic book-keeping.

Small business owner-managers in remote rural villages do not usually have access to relevant training, and the response from learners after the BSSA programme was overwhelming. All the learners indicated that they could apply their newly acquired skills in their own businesses.
